Cincoze DI-1000 Deployed in Substation Inspection Robots

To ensure the safety and functioning of electrical distribution systems, it's important to have inspection on the electrical distribution equipment regularly. With the rapid increase in the number of unattended substations, autonomous inspection robots are urgently desired by the industry to make up for the inefficiency of traditional manual detection. One of our customers is a high-tech enterprise specializing in R&D and production of mobile robot platforms. The firm adopted Cincoze DI-1000s to be integrated with new inspection robots that can carry out the all-weather inspection in large-scale substations or even other industrial environments, such as chemical plants, oil and gas production facilities.

Customer's Demands

The inspection robot required a compact and lightweight embedded computer that can easily fit into the limited internal space of the robot. High-performance computing with low power consumption was necessary to deal with massive image analysis and can prolong the life of system battery effectively. This embedded computer should also withstand wide temperature ranges, shock, and vibration to ensure reliable operation in outdoor environments.

Due to the inspection robot had to be monitored and operated by an operator located in the control room, this embedded computer required additional mini PCIe expansion slots to add wireless communication functions.

quickly analyze and identify potential threats and prohibited items

Why Cincoze?

Cincoze DI-1000 Deployed in Substation Inspection Robots

Compact and Lightweight

Featuring small-sized design (203 x 142 x 66.8 mm) and lightweight (1.65 kg), the DI-1000 is easy to be integrated into a confined space and reduces the robot's total weight for more efficient movement.

High Performance & Low Power Consumption

Powered by 6th gen Intel® Core™ i Processor, the DI-1000 offers high performance at only 15 watts to analyze real-time images from the visible light and thermographic cameras.

Robust and Rugged Design

The DI-1000 supports -40°C to 70°C operating temperature, 50G shock, 5G vibration, 9V-48V DC power input, and M12 LAN connection. Those features keep the computer running under various harsh environments and severe climate.

Wireless Communication

With integrated Mini-PCIe & SIM card slots, the DI-1000 can add wireless communication functions such as WiFi, GPS, and LTE. It allows the command center to monitor or control the robot remotely.
